Explanation: The API for TellerScan and CheXpress scanners contains a configuration file that is named BUICSCAN.INI by default (this may vary depending on your bank or software provider). If this file is missing, the scanner will not be able to connect to the scanning software. With some banks, this error message may display as “Could not find BUIC INI file” or “Could not find BUIC .INI file.”
Reinstalling the deposit software from your bank may correct the problem. Otherwise, we recommend you contact your bank or software provider for assistance. Digital Check is unable to troubleshoot issues with banks’ software packages.
