Back in December 2012, remotedepositcapture.com ran an article titled “RDC is Not Just for US,” detailing the relatively new — but quickly growing — opportunities for remote deposit capture outside the U.S. Oscar Milan, who manages Digital Check’s Latin America sales office, and Cesar Dias, from our Brazilian partner Recognition, were quoted in the story.
Interest in remote deposit capture in Latin America has continued growing, to the point where we found it worthwhile to host an event on the subject. Digital Check’s first RDC Brazil Seminar takes place on April 18 in Sao Paulo. During the one-day event, we’ll discuss the current landscape for cheque settlement in Central and South America, including firsthand experiences from our affiliates in Brazil and Mexico. We’ll also talk about how RDC has evolved in the decade since it was first introduced in the US, and what to expect as the payments scene continues to change in the future.
It’s a small first step, but we’re excited to be a part of this fast-moving new part of banking in Latin America. If interest continues to grow around the world, we hope to have more events like this down the road!
