SimpleSwitch is for banks and credit unions that are planning to move to a network environment but haven’t made the leap yet. If you buy a model with SimpleSwitch, you won’t need to replace it if you change to a network environment, or even download new firmware and drivers onto the scanner – it’s all there waiting for you!
Switching from USB to network configuration is straightforward by following a few simple steps. Operating in network mode is a zero-footprint environment – no drivers, firmware, or API needs to be added to your workstation – they are all onboard the scanner.
It is as simple as that!
SimpleSwitch is included as a standard feature on all units of Digital Check’s new TS250, and on newest SmartSource Expert Elite and Expert Micro Elite models starting in March 2025.
In network mode, all three models can operate with Ethernet-over-USB, and the Expert Elite and Expert Micro Elite can also utilize a wired Ethernet connection.
