Do Your Scanners Work on a Mac Operating System?
Many Digital Check scanner models are compatible with macOS. However, your bank’s deposit system must also support Mac operating systems, so it’s a good idea to contact your bank’s helpdesk before setting up your scanner.
The CheXpress CX35, TellerScan TS250, CheXpress CX30 and TellerScan TS240 are all certified for native support of macOS 10.6 through macOS 26 “Tahoe” using the Digital Check drivers and API. (If your bank’s software platform is not compatible with macOS, the scanner still will not work.)
SmartSource models (other network-ready versions) are not supported on macOS.
Network-ready scanner models (Expert Elite series, CX35 and TS250, or units using a SecureLink attachment) are operating-system independent and will function in a macOS, Windows, or other operating environment. However, your bank must support network scanning for this to work – so once again, check with your bank first!
The cleaning process for scanners operating on macOS may be different, particularly on older models. Click here for instructions on scanner cleaning mode when connected through macOS.
