Scanners for Teller Capture
Our latest high-speed scanner for the teller window – offering top performance and a compact form factor at an affordable price. The new enhanced Pro Elite features an automatic cleaning mode, 600 dpi color image sensors, and front-feed ID card capture. The Pro Elite is a USB-connected scanner with a standard API and operation.
A “Networkable” version of our high-speed SmartSource Elite series. Works as a regular, USB-connected scanner today, but switches to an Ethernet-enabled device with a one-time firmware update. If you are planning to switch to a networked virtual environment in the future, but need to add scanners now, the Pro Elite Plus is the model for you.
A full network-ready version of the SmartSource Elite. The Expert Elite is made with an Ethernet-only interface, and extra onboard computing power to operate independently in a virtual environment. Intended for the bank branch that is already running a thin-client network.
All of Digital Check’s teller scanners for Corelation systems come with the option to capture images of ID cards as well as checks. With the introduction of Real ID-compliant driver’s licenses over the past few years, machine-readable security features have become prevalent across the majority of the banking customer base. Capturing an image is the only way to read these features — helping satisfy KYC and BSA/AML requirements while guarding against the ever-growing threat of identity crimes. Our scanners include features such as:
Both the SmartSource Elite series and TellerScan TS500 come with automated cleaning mode — a new feature that makes it easy to maintain your scanner, and makes sure the job gets done right!
With a simple button-press sequence, the scanner runs through an automatic sequence to “scrub” the key components and remove the maximum amount of dust and buildup from inside the device. There’s no room for error; this will get your scanner as clean as it’s possible to be!
There’s no substitute for seeing our automated cleaning mode in action, so watch it happen in the brief demonstration at left.
RDC & Merchant Scanners — Single-Feed
RDC & Merchant Scanners — Multi-Feed
A large, high-speed scanner for capturing mixed batches of checks and full pages together. Capable of scanning over 100 checks per minute, or nearly 70 items per minute in mixed batches. A powerful tool for keeping track of your payments and the documentation that comes with them, with a single high-performance device.
The Micro Adaptive is a single-feed device based on the compact frame of the popular SmartSource Micro Elite, with a taller 8.5-inch image sensor for scanning full pages like its larger cousin, the SmartSource Adaptive. It is available with a TWAIN interface for easy exporting to all kinds of outside programs that you might use to run your business.
If you’re searching for a replacement for an aging reader/sorter device, look no further! The Quantum DS was built specifically to take over the workload from “Big Iron” machines that run thousands of items per day.
With a speed of 200 items per minute, 12-pocket sorting or “waterfall” capability, and the ability to continuously feed items and empty pockets while the machine is running, the Quantum DS is an able replacement for your heavy-duty bulk processing needs — at a fraction of the price you’re used to paying!
In this customer profile, we sat down with the IT team at Linn Area Credit Union, a local institution with six branches in and around Cedar Rapids, Iowa. LACU had already employed virtual branch network technology for several years when it recently undertook a core system change, and simultaneously updated its teller equipment with network-ready SmartSource Elite scanners. We take a look at the importance of network-ready equipment in a virtual environment — as well as why advanced networking technology is within reach for financial institutions of any size.

If you think that as scanning technology has advanced, cleaning you scanner has become easier, you’re right. However, as scanning has increasingly changed from a back-office function to one performed at the teller window, maintenance has tended to become more sporadic, and MORE dirt is actually introduced to the scanner on a daily basis. Our new report examines why – and what your financial institution can do about it.
