“Simple, fast, and fun!” is the mantra at Extraco Banks, the $1.2 billion bank headquartered in Waco,
TX. They are all about improved customer experience through innovation, and that is one reason why the bank was an early adopter of teller image capture. But technically it’s not teller image capture at Extraco. They don’t employ tellers per se-- at least not in the traditional sense.

Synovus Financial Corp. Implements Enterprise Image Capture Strategy
Synovus launched its image processing strategy with the initial objective of installing a complete image system to promote more efficient check processing across its branch network. Synovus’ first step was to test the efficiency of installing branch capture applications in real world conditions. Synovus selected Metavante Corporation, a leading provider of banking and payments technology, as their software image processing provider. The financial institution then evaluated electronic check scanners compatible with Metavante.
