We had an amazing time last week with all of our partners and clients who joined us on the course for the 2013 Masters tournament. Here’s a look back at some of our favorite memories from the weekend at Augusta National.
Saturday – After positioning our chairs at the famed 16th hole, a 170 yard par-three named after the flowering red bud tree, we started our day by worked our way through the front nine holes until arriving at the Masters merchandise store – an incredible site that you have to see to believe. Nowhere else can so many male shoppers be found engaging in such a shopping frenzy!
Our golf course encounter of the day occurred on the 15th hole – a 530 yard par-five called Firethorn. Observing from the edge of the left fairway, two errant drives delivered by Vijay Singh and Henrik Stenson landed within a few yards of us! As we quickly positioned ourselves for optimal viewing, both golfers delivered excellent second shots that positioned them well for a shot at a birdie. As the afternoon elapsed, we returned to our chairs at sixteen to watch the tournament leaders plot their late day charge. If you are ever at the Masters, camping out at this popular viewing hole late in the afternoon is a must.
Sunday – It is said that adversity introduces a man to himself. For 32-year-old golfer Adam Scott, the adversity of having the 2012 British Open Championship slip through his fingers on the final three holes proved to him that he could one day win a major championship. On Sunday, just 9 months after that deflating defeat at Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Adam Scott saw a lifetime dream of winning a Major Championship come true and an entire Nation of Aussies finally celebrated their first Green Jacket after several failed attempts by legendary Australian golfer and national hero Greg Norman. Once again, The 2013 Masters proved that it is a tradition unlike any other.
For Digital Check, our 2013 Masters customer appreciation event was made possible by the incredible support and loyalty of our reseller partners and end-user customers around the world. It was our privilege and honor to host each of our guests at the 2013 Masters and to create memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you to all who joined us in Augusta this year, and we look forward to hosting our partners and customers once again at the 2014 Masters!
