NORTHFIELD, Ill., Jan. 23, 2007Digital Check Corporation, a leading provider of electronic check scanners for the distributed check capture industry, announced the appointment of Thomas Mason as vice president of finance.

Mason brings more than ten years experience as a chief financial officer to the Digital Check management team.  As vice president of finance, he will oversee the management accounting for the company’s manufacturing operations and administer the systems and processes for order entry, billing and fulfillment operations in support of the company’s network of more than 70 authorized solution providers.

Before joining Digital Check, Mason served as CFO for MSO Holdings, Inc., a start-up healthcare company based in Bannockburn, Ill., focused on bariatric surgery programs and obesity disease management.  Mason’s other chief financial officer positions have included Centiv, Inc., a marketing services company providing web-enabled point-of-purchase merchandising solutions for consumer package goods manufacturers and major retailers, where he was also a Board Member; Telular Corporation, a Vernon Hills, Ill.-based wireless technology marketer and manufacturer; and Wheeling, Ill.-based Segerdahl Corporation, a privately held commercial printer.

Mason began his career with KPMG/Peat Marwick as a CPA.  He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
